Basic information

Artificial biological heart valve - the bovine pericardial valve is the first bovine pericardial valve approved for registration in China. In the 15 years since its launch in 2003, more than 10,000 heart valves have been used to replace mitral valves, aortic valves and tricuspid valves. It is currently the only bovine pericardial valve in China. It is a mature product proven by clinical application practice in large groups (more than 10,000 cases) and long-term (more than 10 years after surgery).
The product is the first similar product approved for registration in China, filling a domestic gap.

Performance advantages

The main structure of the artificial biological heart valve is made of selected bovine pericardial tissue materials, chemical modification and specific sewing methods to create a bionic replacement prosthesis shaped like a natural heart valve. Its function can replace the natural heart valve, opening and closing rhythmically with the heartbeat, so as to realize a valve that ensures one-way flow of blood.
  • The biological valve leaflets have undergone anti-calcification modification treatment to improve the tissue's fatigue resistance and anti-calcification properties.
  • The elastic design of the valve frame not only adapts to the compliance of cardiac contraction and relaxation, but also increases the absorption of the impact force of blood flow when the valve leaflets open and close.
  • The built-in suture eliminates the friction between the valve leaflet tissue and the valve frame, and improves the working life of the valve leaflet.
  • The stress is evenly distributed so that there is no concentrated load-bearing part of the leaflets, eliminating the risk of premature damage or tearing of the leaflets.
  • The wavy shape of the aortic valve seat approximates the shape and structure of the human aortic root. It can support the top of the coronary artery and facilitate the suturing between the artificial biological heart valve and the irregular or calcified aortic valve annulus.

Scope of application

Used in cardiac surgery to implant to replace diseased, injured, deformed or previously implanted aortic, mitral and tricuspid valves.
